America's Cup Columbia 1901, Small, Dark Blue and Natural Hull Feature

  • Detailed deck, 'Plank on Frame' wood construction
  • Cotton sails and detailed rigging, includes wooden stand
  • Dark Blue Hull stripe and natural wood and cotton colors.

A highly detailed and well presented display model of the first successful two time defender (1899 and 1901) of the America's Cup, "Columbia". This model shows the Columbia with a dark blue hull stripe. It will arrive with the sails down, but rigged. You don't have to tie any knots, paint or glue anything. All you do is set up the mast, and then follow the directions step by step to hook the lines from the sails into the right hooks. It takes about 20 minutes. (From experience, we do recommend actually following the simple one-page instructions. People who say "I can figure this out" tend to end up with a few ropes in the wrong places.) It includes a wooden stand for tabletop or shelf display; wall-mount hooks are available separately.
